Teckenspråk, kurs för vissa föräldrar, TUFF

Teckenspråksutbildning för vissa föräldrar (TUFF) är en teckenspråkskurs för dig som:
– har barn som för sin kommunikation är beroende av teckenspråk
– är sambo med förälder som har barn som för sin kommunikation är beroende av teckenspråk

Utbildningen bygger på den förkunskap i teckenspråk som ges av landstingen enligt 3 a § hälso- och sjukvårdslagen (1982-763)  Utbildningen omfattar maximalt 240 timmar och är kostnadsfri.

Om du väljer att bo på skolans internat under lägerveckorna är boendet kostnadsfritt, men du betalar för måltiderna. Vi erbjuder också kostnadsfri barntillsyn för barn och syskon.

Som deltagare i Teckenspråks kurs för vissa vuxna TUFF har du möjlighet att få ersättning för förlorad arbetsinkomst eller annat inkomstbortfall genom CSN. CSN betalar också en resa till och från utbildningsorten per hel avslutad kurs. Utbildningsanordnaren vägleder dig i ansökan, där finns också särskild rekvisitionsblankett som skickas in till CSN.

Utbildningen finns över hela landet hos olika utbildningsanordnare; upplägget kan se olika ut på olika skolor, men vi följer alla samma kursplan/utbildningsplan. Som regel går du på den skola som finns närmast din bostadsort, men du kan läsa TUFF på den skola som har ett upplägg som bäst passar familjens behov. Det finns även möjlighet att byta utbildningsanordnare under utbildningens gång. Här är de fem regionerna och deras upptagningsområden:

Norra regionen innefattar: Gävleborgs-, Västernorrlands-, Jämtlands-, Västerbottens och Norrbottens län.

Östra regionen innefattar: Stockholms-, Uppsala och Gotlands län

Mellersta regionen innefattar: Södermanlands-, Östergötlands-, Värmlands, Örebros-, Västmanlands och Dalarnas län

Västra regionen innefattar: Västra Götaland, Halland och Jönköpings län

Södra regionen innefattar: Kronobergs-, Kalmar-, Blekinge och Region Skåne

Utbildningsanordnarens kursplan bygger på den ramkursplan som Statens Skolverk har tagit fram. Centrala studiestödsnämnden (CSN) handlägger ersättning för resekostnader och inkomstbortfall. Specialpedagogiska skolmyndigheten (SPSM) utvärderar utbildningen

Specialpedagogiska skolmyndigheten (SPSM) samordnar och administrerar statsbidraget till utbildningsanordnarna.

Sign Language Training for affected parents (TUFF) is a sign language course for you who:
– have children who are dependent on sign language for their communication
– are partners living with someone who has children who are dependent on sign language for their communication.

The program builds upon the prior knowledge of sign language provided by the county councils in accordance with Section 3a of the Health and Medical Services Act (1982-763). It covers a maximum of 240 hours and is free of charge.

If you choose to live at the school during the camp weeks, the accommodation is free, but you pay for the meals. We also offer free childcare for the children and their siblings.

As a participant in the TUFF sign language course, you may receive compensation for lost earnings or other loss of income through CSN. CSN also pays for the trip to and from the place of education for the entire completed course. The training provider guides you in filling out the application, where there is also a special requisition form that is sent to CSN.

The course is available all over the country from various education providers. The structure may look different at different schools, but we all follow the same syllabus / education plan. As a rule, you go to the school that is closest to your place of residence, but you can also study TUFF at the school that has a structure that best suits the family’s needs. It is also possible to change training providers during the training. Here are the five regions and their catchment areas:

The northern region includes: Gävleborg, Västernorrland, Jämtland, Västerbotten and Norrbotten counties.

The eastern region includes: Stockholm, Uppsala and Gotland counties.

The central region includes: Södermanland, Östergötland, Värmland, Örebros, Västmanland and Dalarna counties.

The western region includes:
Västra Götaland, Halland and Jönköping counties.

The southern region includes: Kronoberg, Kalmar, and Blekinge counties, as well as Region Skåne.

The education provider’s syllabus is based on the framework syllabus developed by the National Agency for Education. The Central Student Aid Board (CSN) handles compensation for travel expenses and loss of income. The Swedish Agency for Special Needs Education (SPSM) oversees the program.
